Volunteer Opportunity – Rivers Alive (March 27)

Rivers Alive!! Volunteers, along with the City of Clarkston’s Public Works staff, will help to clean and remove litter from our waterways and streams. Volunteers should meet at 9 am at Friendship Forest Wildlife Sanctuary (4380 East Ponce de Leon Avenue). The event is expected to end by 12 pm (noon). Below are some other key details.

  • Covid-19 precautions and guidelines will be adhered to throughout the event.
  • We will provide refreshments, masks, gloves, and all other necessary equipment for litter collection.
  • Volunteers are encouraged to wear long sleeve/ pants, boots, or closed-toes shoes that can get wet. A limited number of rubber boots will be provided. 
  • Further information about parking to be added, as the parking lot is small.
