The Path To Eagle

Eagle

Only an estimated 6% of Scouts earn the Eagle Scout rank—roughly 50,000-60,000 annually out of millions who start the journey. Since 1912, over 2.75 million youth have achieved this milestone, but it requires careful planning and sustained effort.

Use this calculator for long-term planning, but remember to create your own personalized timeline with your troop and merit badge counselors. While you have until age 18, your junior and senior years bring increased demands from school, work, sports, and college planning. Start early, stay consistent, and give yourself adequate time. The journey to Eagle is achievable—but only with intentional preparation and commitment.
