Camp Rotary

Our August campout (August 21 – 23) will be at Camp Rotary on Lake Hartwell. Since we’ll be on the lake again, this trip will focus on water activities like canoeing and fishing. Scouts and adults over 16 who plan to fish must have a Georgia fishing license.

Folks should arrive on Friday evening (dinner on your own) and the group will spend Saturday enjoying the lake and camp. If a Scout wishes to work on a specific merit badge or rank requirement during this trip, please coordinate with Scoutmaster ahead of time.

Camp Rotary is a 25-acre primitive camping facility on Lake Hartwell with wooded tent/hammock campsites, a central bath/shower house, two latrines, a floating swimming dock, a large program/picnic shelter, and a campfire gathering area at “Meditation Point.” Each campsite has a picnic table and fire ring. Canoe rentals are available.

Camp Rotary is located at 52 Rotary Boyscout Dr, Hartwell, GA 30643 and the drive is around two hours from the Hut.
