We are putting together a small Crew of 10 Scouts (7 spots taken) and up to 3 adults (2 spots taken) to go to Summit High Adventure Camp in West Virginia this summer to do the Summit Experience.
This is a seven-day/six-night program, and is open to Scouts 14 and up. It consists of half-day introductory level experiences at each of the nine Summit high adventure venues
- Mountain Biking
- Zip Lines
- Canopy Tours
- Hunter’s Education
- Shooting Sports
- and more…
In addition, each group will have the chance to ride The Big Zip – a 3/4 mile zip line. Each night (Monday – Friday), they will open the Scott Summit Center for activities, fun and socializing.
While at camp, Scouts will sleep in tents with cots that are provided by Summit. Meals will be in the Dining Hall for breakfast and dinner. Lunch will be camp/picnic style at various activities.
Our Camp dates are June 9 – 15; however, we may leave on June 8 to give us an easier first day. We will be renting a large van to travel up as a group. Total costs are being finalized now, but each Scout can expect to pay between $1000 – $1200 total.
The cost to reserve a spot for your Scout is $250, which would need to be paid to the Troop – see Jean Hilyard and/or Joni Johnston. Please note that this is non-refundable. Because we are signing up late, we are unable to change our reservation after February 20.
Anyone interested, please sign-up ASAP!
